Digital Photographs
If you are using digital photos from a camera, set your camera to take shots at a high pixel resolution number so that your JPG can be altered in size without any problems in terms of color and sharpness. It’s a good idea to use a program like PhotoShop to ensure that the images have a resolution setting of 300dpi.
Scanned Images
If you’re scanning images from photographs, scan them using a resolution of 300dpi. Scan your images at the size you’re going to use them so the images retain their detail and color balance. You can also save your images in either TIF or EPS format, preserving the color and sharpness of your images the best.
Web Images
If you use our PDF Driver, you won’t have to worry about sending fonts with your design files. However, if you use another layout program, you may need to submit the fonts that PrintGeeks.com does not have. Simply locate your fonts and send them with your files. We will have most fonts and will work to match any font you use that you can’t locate or send.

Color Correction
Your computer monitor does not have the richness in color that your final printed product will have. Because this printing process is a full color printing operation, your files and images will at some point need to be converted to CMYK from RGB. It’s best if you do the conversion so you can see the initial color adjustment of the file. This can easily be accomplished with a design program such as PhotoShop.
Colored text
Colored text is fine to use for font sizes 12pt orhigher. Anything smaller can result in distorted text that will be difficultto read.
Bleeds
If you want your design to go to the edge ofthe paper, make sure your design size is a quarter inch larger than the documentsize. For instance, if the final size of your file is 8.5" x 11", make your document size 8.75" x11.25". As you create your design, be sure to extend it out to the guidesof the layout program.
Round Corners
So what can be round cornered you ask? Justabout anything: Postcards, Business Cards, Letterhead, Door Hangers, PersonalizedMemo Pads, Flyers and meCards. Corner size is .25.
